Maple Holistics Review

The friendly people from Maple Holistics recently sent me a few items to try out and share my thoughts with you guys! Maple Holistics is a brand that is dedicated to providing natural, therapeutic beauty products without harsh chemicals that aren't good for your skin, hair or overall health. You can check out their website at www.mapleholistics.com and see what other goodies they have! I got to try the Hydrate Shampoo, Silk 18 Natural Conditioner, and the Vitamin C Facial Serum.

The Hydrate Shampoo has a blend of oils like jojoba and almond with other botanical ingredients like lavender, carrot and parsley seed alongside vitamins such as keratin and silk peptides. These are supposed to help sooth a dry, itchy scalp while nourishing hair with these moisturizing ingredients. Let me tell you, if you are a fan of lavender you will love this! It smells exactly like fresh lavender, which I find very relaxing.

This also had a very satisfying lather, and felt like it was really cleaning my hair. Which is where I encountered some problems. After trying it for a few days, my hair felt overly cleaned, dry and super frizzy. I could only put up with my hair feeling tangled and rough for a few days before I had to stop using it. I have curly/wavy hair, so I really need hair products that gear towards that, like my favorite Shea Moisture Curl and Shine Shampoo. To be fair, with natural shampoos like these, I hear you have to give them some time to work properly.

Maybe it's just my hair type or lack of will power to stick with it, but I just didn't like the way my hair felt afterwards. Which is so sad because I loved the scent! You might have better luck if dandruff is a bigger problem for you, have a different hair type, or able to stick it out long enough.

The Silk 18 Natural Conditioner I felt did a little better in my opinion. It has a blend of, you guessed it, 18 different silk amino acids in addition to natural ingredients like shea butter, aloe, jojoba and almond oil, hibiscus and green tea to name a few. They kill the scent game in their products, because this smells like a comforting, warm vanilla. I am usually not a big fan of vanilla, but I really enjoyed it because it's not over powering. Overall, I thought this was an average conditioner and did what it was supposed to do. My hair wasn't amazingly soft and shiny, but it added some moisture and felt like it helped smooth my frizz a bit. I'll continue to use it with my other conditioners until its gone.

Now the Vitamin C Anti-Aging Serum is a whole other story! I have been LOVING this. In addition to having Vitamin C, it contains hyalurinic acid ,Vitamins A and E, aloe vera and algae extract. It claims to fight signs of aging, reverses and protects from sun damage, stimulates collagen for brighter, younger looking skin. I'm not kidding, after one application I totally noticed a difference.

My skin has looked so much brighter, more even in texture and color, and just looks better overall. Just massage a few drops of this magical serum that I'm pretty sure comes for a unicorn, morning and night and prepare to be amazed. It also absorbs super fast and doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky or wet for too long. The best part? It's UNDER $12. I'm definitely purchasing this when I run out. This is great for those looking to start a preventive anti-aging skin care regimen since you are supposed to get serious about it in your 20's but I bet it'll do wonders for those looking to reverse some damage as well. I'm definitely curious to try some of their other skin care products now!

Overall, the real winner from Maple Holistics is this serum and if you were to only try one product from them, I would highly recommend it. The hair care products I wasn't too thrilled with just because they tend to not jive with my hair type and what I look for in a shampoo and conditioner.

But if you are looking for affordable, natural hair and skin care products definitely give them a try! Which you can for FREE due to a promotion that is going on right now. They will send you any Maple Holistics product that they offer if you are willing to leave an honest review for it on Amazon, where they have recently started selling their line. You can check out more information about this here! It is not a scam and they are not looking for fake 5 star reviews, they just want to know what you think. I'm definitely going to partake and try out some of their masks...

Maple Holistics has a great lineup of natural products at a reasonable price, and I especially enjoy their mission to provide natural, high quality products that aims to holistically improve an individuals overall health.

Maple Holistics blogger connection is sponsored by edmunch.com, so I would like to thank them for allowing me try their products!
